1995 - Bob Parker and Will Morriss passed away.

The Optimist International Convention was held in San Antonio June 25-28. Members of the WGOC worked in many areas to make this convention a big success.

Uncle "Miltie" won two bronze medals in the Senior Olympics.

The Bowl-a-thon raised 14,100 for the youth activities budget.

Ron Graves was named Optimist of the Year. James Blackwell was the Outstanding New Member

1996 - The Christmas tree sales netted $5,00 and the Bowl-a-thon $13,000 for the Youth Activities budget.

Arthur was M A D - (Make A Difference). This was theme for Arthurs term as president.

Mark Morkovski was named Optimist of the Year and Ben Sewell was named Outstanding New Member.

1997 - Christmas tree sales raised $5,240 and the Bow-a-thon $16,160 for the Youth Fund.

Bert Richey, Arthur O'Krent and Otto Tezel passed away. Otto Tezel had 47 years perfect attendance and will be sorrily missed.

President Peggy instituted the "joker's Wild" program to raise money to help defray some administrative cost and guess what she won the first drawing for the joker and received over $500.

The WGOC attended a Hockey game.

Jim Madson a long time member was the speaker for one of our regular meetings.

Rob Glenn was named Optimist of the Year and Barrett Evan was the Outstanding New Member.

1998 - Christmas tree sales raised $3,264 and the Bowl-a-thon $20,040. The final report indicated only 19,954 but member donated an additional $ 85 to top the $20,000 goal. Barrett Evans chaired this activity .

Marvin Hartung and Thurman Guess passed away.

We started the year with 80 members.

Ben Sewell announced that the Boysville Auction would clear over $140,000.

Barrett Evans was named the Optimist of the Year and Howard Kasanoff was named the Outstanding New Member.

1999 - The year is off to a great start. Plans are under way for the Bowling Tournament to be held in June.

Raffle tickets were being sold for a $1,500 travel package.

The Boysville Auction will be in May this year and will feature a greatly revised format with more family type activities
